Най-накрая обновиха официалния сайт на Сара. С малко забавяне, но все пак е факт. Освен новия дизайн и информация за сингъла и предстоящия албум, в сайта не са добавени кой знае колко неща. След като мина почти една година от издаването на последния сингъл на Сара (изключвайки преиздаването на The best side of life ) , новият сингъл Under My Skin вече е факт! В него ще намерите и новата песен Touch . Новият диск можете да си купите от Amazon . Много се надявах продуцентите да включат и видеото, но за съжаление не са го направили. Затова пък има страхотни нови снимки. И въпреки, че повечето вече се появиха в Интернет предимно от My Space-a на Сара, феновете, които си купят албума ще има какво ново да видят. Приятно слушане!

KayRob е направил музиката на Crazy In Love (балада) и I'll Kiss It Away, която е посветена на Summer, а текстовете на парчетата са дело на самата певица. Bülent Aris е автор на Act Like You и Touch. " Touch " ще бъде включена към първия сингъл като B-Side и вече се появи в Интернет. Marek Pompetzi & Paul NZA са продуценти с които Сара работи най-дълго за този проект. Както вече знаете новият сингъл е факт! Както и видеото към него :) Премиерата е в петък ( 18-и) по VIVA LIVE от 15.00 часа и по BILD.DE от 16.00 часа. Виждате и снимките от мейкинга-изглежда, че видеото ще е много секси. А относно клипа, Сара каза : " От доста време не съм правила видео, в което да танцувам. Беше забавно, страхотно представяне - страхотно беше да работя с танцьорите си отново и да изпитам това зареждащо секси чувство докато танцувам наслаждавайки се на музиката. Предполагам, че си спомняте реалитито, в което участваха Марк и Сара през 2005-та година. Тогава в рамките на няколко епизода беше заснета подготовката за сватбата им, а в последния-самата сватба. През юли Про Зибен ще излъчи продължение, в което ще се покаже как двамата успяват да съчетаят работата и семейните задължения.

Началото е на 3.Юли от 20:15 по ProSieben. Епизодите отново са 8. Този път проекта носи заглавието "Sarah & Marc Crazy in Love" и ще покаже снимки от предстоящи клипове, фотосесии, бременната майка на Сара, която през лятото очаква близнаци и много други интересни неща от ежедневието на звездната двойка.

A look back into 2007

Sarah released her sixth studio album "Soulicious" this year and the recording and promotion has kept her quite busy all through the year. Now as it's just over a week left of 2007, it's time to take a little look back into what Sarah's been up to in the past 12 months, a little overview of the most important events of each month.

	The beginning of the year 2007 was rather quiet in the world of Sarah Connor. Calm before the storm, as they say. In January, she made one public appearance on Radio FFN's 20th birthday party in Hannover, where she performed From Zero To Hero, Bounce and Living To Love You. Towards the end of the month, she was also spotted shaking her booty in latino star Shakira's concert in Hamburg.
	In February Sarah posted some exciting news on her official website: "I'm just on my way to the studio to record a new album and to be honest I'm quite nervous and excited." The album recording began on February 14th and it was done in Berlin - in studio "Saal 4" of the former Berlin Rundfunk Orchester - with a 46-piece live orchestra. The video for the album's lead single "The Impossible Dream (The Quest)" was filmed on February 21st in Berlin.
	March started with a bang - the Bravo magazine that was out on March 1st had another message from Sarah and the release date for the new album. A week later Bravo also revealed futher details of Sarah's sixth studio album called "Soulicious": it would include covers of Sarah's favourite American soul songs from the 60s and 70s. The album was finished on March 10th and on the same day the boxing themed video for "The Impossible Dream (The Quest)" was premiered on Viva. In the video Sarah displayed a new haircut, darker hair and a fringe. The fringe stayed, but the colour was back to blonde when she attented the Echo Awards with her mother in Berlin on March 25th wearing a sparkling Alberta Ferretti dress. After the Echo appeareance, Sarah started her big radio promotion tour that would take her all over Germany talking about her new album. On March 30th the wait was finally over - "Soulicious" and "The Impossible Dream (The Quest)" were released in Germany. The busy month was finished the next day when Sarah had the honour to perform "The Impossible Dream" in the boxring at Henry Maske's comeback fight against Virgil Hill, which reached about 16 milion viewers at the end.
	April was no less busy for Sarah. Her radio promotion tour around Germany continued. She also did a sexy photoshoot for the cover of German Vanity Fair magazine. "Soulicious" peaked at #6 in Germany and "The Impossible Dream" at #8. In between all the promotion, Sarah, Marc and the kids also found time to fly to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands for a well deserved spring break, where the paparazzi caught them sunbathing and riding camels. Just a day after she'd returned from her holiday, she already visited Stefan Raab's talk show TV Total. On April 30th Sarah won a Golden Otto award in the "Supersinger - female" category for the third year in a row. She also performed Soulicious at the award ceremony in Düsseldorf.
	Less than a week after the Otto award, it was already time for another award. This time it was the award for Best Female on Viva Comet Awards in Cologne. Sarah wasn't expecting to win the award and was left completely speechless with tears of happiness in her eyes when she arrived on stage to accept the award.
	June began with some really good news: the second single from "Soulicious" would be a new version of "Sexual Healing", now featuring US star Ne-Yo! The video was shot on June 1st and already premiered 7 days later with a release date set for end of June. Three days after her 27th birthday, Sarah performed her only full lenght concert of the year. It was a one-off open air concert in Selb, eastern Germany. In June she also had time to christen a kangaroo as "Konrad" in Serengeti-Park Hodenhagen, appear on the Johannes B. Kerner talkshow and perform "Sexual Healing" on Let's Dance, where she also sang "Run To You" by Whitney Houston when one of the couples danced. "Sexual Healing" was released on June 29th.
	In July, Sarah didn't do any public appearances. Instead, the Terenzi family enjoyed their summer holiday in Altafulla, Spain and also in Boston, USA visiting Marc's relatives. "Sexual Healing" peaked at #11 in the German charts.
	Sarah's summer holiday continued well into August, but at the end of the month it was time for a big appearance. First on August 24th, she visited Viva Live talking about Bravo's Schau Nicht Weg campaign against bullying at schools and also displaying a new shorter haircut. The next day she performed a great seven song set at the massive Schau Nicht Weg open air concert in Berlin that was broadcasted live.
	September saw Sarah doing charity work. She teamed up with Komen Germany to fight against press cancer and use her celebrity status to educate girls and women about this important subject. She also performed at Dreamball, a charity gala in Berlin. But it wasn't all charity work in September, she also partied at the Music Meets Media event in Berlin.
	Sarah's husband Marc had been working on his own project, "Terenzi Horror Nights" that would bring American Halloween to Germany at amusement park Europa-Park in Rust. Sarah took part to the press launch of the "Terenzi Horror Nights" dressed up as a vampire! At the end of the month she also performed at the TV Total Stock Car Racing Challenge and Kinder chocolate's 10th birthday anniversary.
	November was a busy month for Sarah, a mixture of party and work. It started with the MTV Europe Music Awards that were held in Munich and as Germany's biggest popstar, Sarah was of course invited to the afterparty that she attented with her sister Marissa. Another party she attented was the iPhone launch where all the guests got free iPhones! Sarah was also present at the Unicef Gala in Bremen where she performed "Oh Happy Day" with a gospel choir and gave the audience an accidental glance at her bra. November's tv appearances included a "Son Of A Preacher Man" performance at Guinness World Records Show.
	After recording the official Coca-Cola Germany christmas song "The Best Side Of Life" last year, Sarah now joined the Coca-Cola christmas tour. Last year she only performed on the final stop of the christmas tour in Berlin, but this time she did a concert on three of the dates: Cologne, Nürnberg and Leipzig. A December highlight for those of us who couldn't attend the christmas tour was obviously the first televised performance of "The Best Side of Life" at Ein Herz Für Kinder fundraising event.

The secret of her love

She's already damaged a wall out of jealousy! Nevertheless Sarah (27) loves her Marc (29) more than anything - though there is someone she's gladly have an affair with. Who? She'll tell it here...

Yam!: When do you get jealous - if Marc flirts with a woman who's like you or who's a total opposite of you?
Sarah: Probably more if she's a total opposite. He's already got the original at home anyway. The dangerous thing with Marc is certainly that he doesn't have a certain type of woman that he prefers. He likes tall, blonde and long legs, but sometimes also dark hair, a bit curvier or latin-esque.

Is there a woman who he'd have a "free lisence" for?
Sarah: Well... We've got this deal that if Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would sometimes like to have dinner with us, then we'd be allowed to go. He with Brad and I with Angelina. Or the other way round (laughs)?

Have you yet had a row because of jealousy?
Sarah: Yeah, at the beginning of our relationship. I kicked a hole in the wall out of fury then! We were very freshly together and I was visiting him in America for the first time. In hindsight I have to admit that my fit wasn't totally justified. When your relationship is so fresh, you first have to break the old contacts. Anyway, I had read a very straightforward email from a girl on his computer and I totally flipped out. Back then he used to have a place in Orlando with a mate and the houses there are very lightly built, of some kind of cardboard material that's very unstable. Then Marc totally flipped out: "Damn it, this is not my house and this is gonna be sold next week!" Then I had to call his friend who owned the house and tell him a made up story: While we were moving out the television slipped from my hands and hit the wall. But apparently Marc has forgiven me. After all, he said "I do" at our wedding...

Sarah: No! I don't regret it, but there will never be a sequel. That'd be too much for me...

Have you changed a lot of your house since the tv show?
Sarah: Very much! The kitchen is new, the colour of the exterior is different, we've had a large pool built on the property and palmtrees planted! We also have all the furniture from our house in Florida that we've sold.

Is there something in your star life that you'd like to hide from your children Tyler and Summer? Your latest video "Sexual Healing" for example?
Sarah: I don't need to hide anything. Tyler isn't allowed to watch TV yet. Only programs that we've picked from DVDs and also only in English. He still thinks our television can only speak English (grins).

"I fear for my breasts!"

Sarah commits herself to a fight against breastcancer. In Yam! the singer talks openly about her reasons and her experiences at the gynecologist.

Sarah Connor has got everything she used to dream of before: a beautiful house, a great husband, two lovely children and a big bank account with many zeros. Now she uses her celebrity status for a good cause: the 27-year old is an ambassador for KOMEN Germany. The organization has been fighting against breast cancer in Germany since 1999 and searches for means to cure the illness.

Yam!: Are there personal reasons involved in your desicion to commit to the battle against breast cancer?
Sarah: I haven't been affected myself, if that's what you mean. However there are two women in my circle of friends that have had the diagnosis. I commit to it now to enlighten people. For me it's about women and girls being able to talk about a subject like breast cancer quite openly - also amongst themselves.

Have you got a piece of advice for all girls and women?
Sarah: Grope yourselves and let your gynecologist do a preventive examination for you regularly!

Do you follow your advice youself?
Sarah: Of course!

Because you're afraid?
Sarah: Anyone can get breast cancer! And of course I'm also worried about my breasts!

How have the examinations been for you?
Sarah: There's always a nervous feeling in the stomach, just like in my Aids test during my pregnancy. That's done regularly. You're of course quite sure that you don't have it - and still you pee in your pants out of fear of the residual risk. That's totally absurd! With breast cancer the chance of healing is 80 percent - but only in the early diagnosis! And when you get checked regularly, you get more experienced with the subject.

Smoking, for example, is a risk factor - you quit that in June. How are you now?
Sarah: Very good! I gained three kilos after that, but they're gone again.

No more nicotine - do you live completely without habits?
Sarah: The first weeks after I quit I ate more often, had times when I ate really much, but that's done now. I'm very happy with my life as a non-smoker. For ages I haven't had to get out at nights and freeze my butt off...

Do you have other habits?
Sarah: Yes, I like to push things away from me. I tend to ignore certain things out of laziness. They can be small things. For example, at the moment I've got a lot of photos piling up that should be glued into a photo album, it's a total chaos in my office and I need to tidy up stuff like that. And I spend too much money in unimportant things! Sunglasses, shoes, clothes. I don't get attacks like that very often, but when I do, my credit card glows. Luckily we live in Wildeshausen, you can't do much luxury shopping there (laughs)...

Terenzi Horror Nights photos

Сара се представи невероятно добре на концерта Schau Nicht Weg в събота, в Берлин. Участието й беше част от кампанията за борба срещу насилието в училищата. Песните, които Сара представи бяха:

Short, fringy hair and a warm laughter: you've never seen the sexy soul queen like this before! In Bravo, she tells everything about the change.

Sarah Connor is nervous as she is styled for our photoshooting in the Hyatt Hotel in Berlin. After all, it's her "first time" today. She's never been properly photographed with her new short hair cut before. We had to catch our breath as well when she stood in front of us: the 24-year-old looks great - but quite different. Due to the fresh iro haircut the 178 cm tall singer looks even taller. And she shines with this fringy haircut: here's a selfconfident lady, who knows what she wants...

Bravo: Wow, we hardly recognize you anymore. Pretty brave of you to change so much!
Sarah: Yeah, of course, but I've wanted to try this out for a long time - I just didn't dare to do it! I've gotten a lot of selfconfidence since I became a mother a year ago. Therefore it was a time for a new look!
Bravo: When did you finally decide to get this haircut done?
Sarah: A bit before christmas. I got it done before I flew to Mexico for holidays with my husband Marc and our son Tyler. So that I'd have time to get used to it myself!

The idea to this haircut came from two real professionals: Gianni and Tobi from the "Lippert's Friseure" hair salon in Munich. However, Sarah didn't go and visit them, they visited Sarah in her home in Delmenhorst with 3 suitcases: "We talked with Sarah over coffee. She was cool with the idea", Tobi tells. They cut her hair in her kitchen. It took a total of five hours - and wasn't interrupted by Marc's critical reviews.

Bravo: But what did Tyler think about your new haircut?
Sarah: (laughs) As he saw me for the first time, he screamed so loud out of shock, that Marc had to take him in his arms and comfort him!

Sarah's fans reactions on her new haircut varied a lot as well. In the guestbook of her official homepage the opinions went from "wondeful" to "dreadful".

Bravo: Are you interested in what others think of you?
Sarah: Of course, but what only really matters is that I feel comfortable about myself. That's something I've learned in the last few years!

For almost a year Sarah was off the limelight, brought her son Tyler to world and married the former Natural star Marc Terenzi. Now the popstar is back – with new music and her first erotic photoshoot as a mum. In the interview the 24 year old spoke about her time in Florida and her new life between a child and a career.

Max: Mrs Connor, you look super-slim in the Max photos. And you just brought your son Tyler to the world in the beginning of February. How did you get so fit?
Sarah: I lost more than 25 kg with the help of a personal trainer. I exercised twice a day, two hours in the morning and still one hour in the evening. I also ate as low-fat food as possible. Now I'm slimmer than before the pregnancy and I feel better as a sexy mum than ever.
Max: For almost a year, you took a break from being a singer. Where were you?
Sarah: I flew to Florida in the end of 2003. Marc, my husband had a lot to do in the USA and I wanted to be with him. It was really relaxing for me as it was the first time I could take a little distance to the whole haste in Germany. No one knows me in Florida, that was very enjoyable. For the first few months after the birth, we were totally concentrated on the little one to get back to our rhythm. It was nice to experience a pretty normal everyday life that neither of us really knew about anymore.
Max: How has your life changed since you became a mother?
Sarah: My attitude to some things has changed. I've matured a lot, I'm thankful of the smallest things and I've found some new sides in me. My own little family gives me normality, my life is now perfect. I wake up with Tyler in the mornings and I can't act like such a diva anymore, getting up in the noon and getting a massage right after. I'm now ready to wake up any time of the day.
Max: How do you combine the child and the career?
Sarah: For me, it's not even an option to only stay at home. But leaving my child at home and not seeing when he gets his first tooth or hearing when he says the first word is not one either. When I'm on the road, the little one is always there. If I have to be away for one day or one night, my family looks after him then.
Max: You wanted to get married before Tyler's birth, but that didn't happen. Why?
Sarah: Our plans were changed when I flew to Florida earlier than planned. That's why we only got married on 29th february in Delmenhorst. That was a pretty secretive event. Not even our guests knew about it. We officially invited them for a big dinner for Tyler. Marc did a speech where he introduced me as his wife and our friend were so suprised! I'm now Mrs Terenzi, Sarah Terenzi. We're still gonna have our big, white wedding later.
Max: How did Marc propose you?
Sarah: It was on 13th June 2004. I had my birthday then and we were at our favourite hotel, the "Grand Hyatt" in Berlin. He had organised a quite romantic dinner in my room. There were flowers everywhere and I thought it was all for my birthday. Then he opened the shutter doors of the bedroom and there was a small handwritten book by him laying near my present. He wanted me to read the book straight away. I did that and in the end, it said: "Sarah, will you marry me?" That was such a suprise. I totally melted and the answear was yes, of course.
Max: You're German, Marc is American. What language do you speak with your son?
Sarah: In the beginning I always spoke with Tyler in English as I wanted Marc to understand what I say. But Marc is taking German lessons at the moment and understands the language better and better. Because of that I'll be speaking with Tyler in German and English with Marc. So that Tyler will grow to be bilingual.
Max: It's been recently written on the press that you're the reason to the split of Marc's band Natural...
Sarah: That's absolute nonsense. I've got nothing to do with that. The members of the band will go their own ways now and all agreed to split up after 5 years. Marc is 27 years old and makes his own decisions. He wants to continue making music and will be heard in another band. I'm gonna support him in everything he does.
Max: Marc and you both travel a lot on your own. Doesn't that affect the relationship?
Sarah: When we both miss each other really much, we fly to each other for the night. But the amount of travelling also keeps our relationship fresh. It's a lot nicer for me when both of us are on the road and then we're always so happy and excited to meet each other again, than so that the other would always sit at home waiting for the other to finally come back.
Max: Where are you at home then?
Sarah: At the moment we're both based in Germany where I'm working on my new album. When we have more time we spend time in our house in sunny Orlando.
Max: Your new single "Living To Love You" is out soon and an album will follow. What should we wait from it?
Sarah: The single "Living to Love you" is a ballad, that I dedicated to Marc and Tyler. The music on the album is a bit more grown-up, but like before, very sexy. The lyrics are very open. It's a personal, but very energetic album. I just wanna say: I'm back again, I'm young and I wanna have fun!

Sarah: Thank you very much. Good to see you again.
Interviewer: Would you like to introduce yourself maybe in Japanese.

Interviewer: So how was it performing in front of a Japanese audience for the first time?
Sarah: It was very exciting, it was very cool. I was very nervous before the show, but it turned out very well. I hope they liked it, I guess they liked it. You were there, so...
Interviewer: Yeah! How was the audience responding? What do you think about the Japanese audience?
Sarah: It's cool, but it was very different, cause you were very respectful. Like they were waiting and they let me finish my song and then they would clap and cheer. That was very sweet. I like that.
Interviewer: Tell us a little bit about your album "Bounce" for the people who haven't heard it yet.
Sarah: Bounce is including of course my song Bounce. It's kind of a reflection of my last three albums that I've done in the past, it shows my musical progress, it's a mix of soul, sex and sensuality.
Interviewer: You gave this plate and the powder as a souvenier yesterday.
Sarah: Yes.
Interviewer: What's the meaning behind this?
Sarah: Because I learned that my name Sarah is a plate, it's meaning plate here, so it's Sarah and then when you shake the powder it's Connor. So they told me that, so I just, you know...

Popstar Sarah Connor gave birth to her son Tyler 13 days ago in Orlando, Florida. The father Marc Terenzi was also present in the labour. The young parents show their little son exclusively in BamS (Bild Am Sontag). And Sarah tells how the role of a mother has changed her life.

Congratulations for the baby! Who does Tyler look like?
He has definitely Marc's eyes and his nose, as well as his black hair. My mum said that he has my mouth. I haven't exactly noticed that yet. Of course for me he's the most beautiful baby that I've seen.

When you first held Tyler in your arms...
...was the greatest moment in my life. I was totally overhelmed. For 9 months, he was in my belly - and then he was finally there. This little baby is a piece from Marc and me and will always belong to us.

Do you breast-feed your son?
Yeah, I breast-feed Tyler every 3 or 4 hours. I don't get enough sleep because of that - but that happens with all new mothers, so... That's totally okay though, I love it.

What does your boyfriend do?
He swaddles him and Tyler likes to sleep on his chest. Marc is a great dad, he's incredibly patient and loving.

Bravo: Sarah, your new album "Key To My Soul" has just come out. The pregnancy didn't prevent you from singing?
Sarah: (laughs) The opposite - as I found out in summer that I'm pregnant, I got loads of energy from that! I wanted that my fans would get something new from me before I'd go on the baby break in 2004.
Bravo: What does your album title mean? Why that name?
Sarah: Because everything that I'm experiencing and feeling at the moment is described on the album. It's about my relationship with Marc, about our life and our baby. About how fast it changed my life. Whoever listenes to the album, will hear my most personal feelings.
Bravo: Can you give us an example?
Sarah: One of the songs is called "Daddy's Eyes" - it's directly about my baby. I sing: "I know when you arrive, you'll have your daddy's eyes. I'll always see your dad through you and the three of us will always be together." (Sarah's eyes fill up with tears). I was stading in the studio, I could feel my baby in my stomach and sang these lines - an unbelievable feeling! This songs is so personal to me, even though I haven't written it myself.
Bravo: Which songs on the album have you written?
Sarah: "When Two Become One". The song is about my relationship with Marc, about how we know we belong together, no matter what anyone else says. And "Every Moment Of My Life". I wrote it with Marc. A song about our lives as we both travel so much. The message is: "No matter where I currently am - I love you every moment of my life. You're always by me."
Bravo: You're on the seventh month now...
Sarah: (shines) ...and I'm extremely happy! Everything is so solid now. I feel how my baby grows inside me, he senses things and lets me know when I do something that's not ok for him. I can't sleep on my stomach anymore - he will struggle against it! When I lie on my back and he has quite a lot of space in my stomach, he kicks, has a hiccup or moves - that's the most beautiful feeling for me! The feeling that soon we'll be a little family is overhelming.
Bravo: You say "he"? So, it's gonna be a boy...
Sarah: (laughs) We don't know that yet! Some say that it's gonna be a girl, the others think it's a boy.
Bravo: How many doctors have you asked?
Sarah: Two. I've asked my family doctor here and he said it looks like a girl. My doctor in America thought it's definitely gonna be a boy. It doesn't matter for us - the main thing is that the child is healthy.
Bravo: Have you already picked up a name?
Sarah: No, we still haven't decided any names.
Bravo: But you've already found a house in Orlando, Florida, Marc's home country.
Sarah: Yeah! It's wonderful, it has seven rooms, a swimming pool and is decorated with bright furniture. I was just there for one and half months and bought the furniture when Marc was touring with Natural. I wasn't allowed to do anything in the baby's room though - Marc definitely wanted to be there when it was done, it was very important for him!
Bravo: What does the room look like then?
Sarah: Warm and cosy, green and blue colours. The curtains that Marc found are blue chequered. The shrimping blanket and the inside of the cradle are green, yellow, blue and a bit of red and pink. It's pretty colourful - and neutral: a girl as well as a boy could live there.
Bravo: And when are you going to marry?
Sarah: We have all the paperwork done and now we only have to announce it to the civil register. We'd love to get married at christmas!
Bravo: How romantic...
Sarah: Yeah, it would be nice. Marc's family is in Germany at christmas, so we'd all be together. But it still hasn't been scheduled.
Bravo: And when will you go to America?
Sarah: Not so soon. I wanna be in Germany for the first four weeks after the birth for the routine check-ups. In March, Marc is in Asia for four weeks to promote the new album with Natural. I'll go to the US when he'll be back from there. So, sometime in spring. But I won't go there for forever - Germany will always be my home.

Why do people think that it's so funny that you come from Delmenhorst and still live there as well?
No idea. I think that's it's a German phenomeon. Sarah Connor and Delmenhorst - I don't understand the contradiction. The urge to make music comes from the soul and has nothing to do with where you come from.

Is your small hometown like a safe zone for you where you can walk down the streets freely and undisturbed?
I think that all the kids there have my autograph (laughs). But in the morning when I go out with my both labradors Bob and Marley, I have many, many kids around, that are taking their little brothers or sisters to the kindergarten. Then we have a crowd of 20 people that go walking.

Can you still go down to a pub for a beer in the evenings?
Yeah, I don't style myself then, just go with a sweater and a cap. I'm private then and meet my friends. My favourite pub is very peaceful. By the way, I live right next to it. But it's not loud at all.

Did your landlords have doubts about renting the flat to a popstar? They're noisy and famous...
I was the one who warned my landlords! They really didn't know what was coming. I said: It can be that there are people standing at the front door. And I also listen to music loud. But my landlords are cool, young people that have seven kids. I like to have children in the house. I am used to that.

You are the oldest from a total of 6 childs. What do you learn in a large family?
You learn to say what you want - and how to get it. My parents have always said: You have to do what feels right and what your heart says. When I'm on tour tour I miss my family so much. We get on so well. On the road people are really nice to me, but when I close the door in the evening my little sister is not there giving me a kiss. And my boyfriend isn't there either. You have tatooed M for Marc in your inner wrist. That doesn't only sound very painful, but very romantic. Is Marc the One?
It was love at first sight. I really wanted it to work out. He wanted it too. But for a long time, we were afraid to say it to each other. Sometimes one would like to shout it out: I'm totally infatuated! I had never been together with anyone on the music industry. The guys before have been quite normal, doing nine to five.

And how does this German-American relationship work out? At the end of the day you live in Delmenhorst and Marc in Orlando...
When he has 3 days off he immediately comes here to be with me and when I have a couple of days off I fly straight to Florida. We have the financial possibilities, which is a real advantage too. But flying back and forth is not a permanent thing. On the long view, we'd like to buy a house in Florida. I like the place so much - hot and sunny. But that would only be a second home country. I need my family and friends. Leaving everything behind permanently? Never!

Is jealousy a topic that you talk about together?
You can always cheat someone. Although people say that in our jobs we're always under someone's eye. Of course that's true. But I wouldn't know if he would cheat me when he's in Asia and he wouldn't know if I would meet some guy behind my house. You have to trust each other. I've never been so open with anyone before Marc, he is my best friend.

As a boyband singer, your boyfriend has a big lot of groupies. Why there isn't any male groupies for female popstars?
Sometimes you get very direct offers from guys, but will they wait at your hotel to perhaps be picked up? No. Honestly, men are a lot shyer than women. I have a scene in my stage shows, where I pick up a guy from the audience. He's tied to a chair. Then I come, I'm all over him. If he'd want to kiss me, he could. But there hasn't been one time when the man had had the guts to do anything. If Michael Jackson would do that for me, believe me, I'd kiss him immediately!

What does a woman do when her guy has cheated on her? Screw his loved car for example. It will break up then - and he will be the one to suffer. A nice idea, but should only happen in a video. If it will fit with the song and Sarah's new single "Bounce" is about being cheated on - and the revenge takes place on the video.

The video is shot in an old industry area and a car repair-shop in Pankow. Sarah had suggested that her lover doesn't have much - and that's why she destroys his big love, a Ford Mustang from 1975.

The old timer will be carefully sabotaged. When her boyfriend, played by a 29 year old model Alexander from Hamburg, goes on a ride to check out girls again, the car breaks apart piece by piece...

"In private I wouldn't do that as it would be too dangerous for the guy", the 23 year old clears. She has already had reasons for revenge though. "When I was 18, my boyfriend at the time cheated me with another woman, when we had been 2 years together. I found it out quite fast, as he was too stupid to conceal it."

An angry conversation followed, things were thrown across the room - and that was the end. "Although I still loved him. But the trust for him was gone. One cannot keep the relationship up alone." His boyfriend Marc Terenzi (25) trusts her a lot more.

"Marc and I would have enough oppurtunities to cheat without the other one noticing. If one is jealous all the time, it only makes one break down", explains the Delmenhorster, who has never been unfaithful herself, has she? "Well, only once", confesses Sarah quietly. "But not with Marc".

"As I was about 20, I once kissed another man. I got really stressed because of that! With Marc, that cannot happen. When someone is unfaithful, there has to be something wrong with the actual relationship." But in Sarah's current relationship everything is correct - nevertheless they'll be parents in six months. Sarah is third months pregnant for Marc!

What if he would cheat on her? Sarah: "It's hard to say. Probably it would be the end of it. But I wouldn't make a revenge. Whoever, who has cheated me, is not worth a thought." But that will not happen - Sarah is convinced of that.

Also her sister Anna-Maria's luck in love makes her happy. The 21 year old has been married to Pravit (30), a dancer of Sarah, for a year and a half. "Pravit wouldn't cheat on her. He adores my sister and has always been a very faithful guy."

At 4 o'clock in the morning - after 17 hours of shooting - Pravit and his collagues have to show what they can. The dance performance for the Bounce video is filmed in an hour.

By then, they're all tired - and the Ford Mustang in pieces. By the way: Don't try at home, please.

Mr Terenzi, how did you react when you heard the happy news?
Marc Terenzi: I was very delighted. It was the sweetest news in the world. I told it immediately to my band mates of Natural. The guys were also really happy. I want to have a whole baseball team.
Sarah Connor: A baseball team? We haven't talked about that!
Terenzi: Ok, but a few children more would be nice. I don't want my child to grow up alone. I was very lucky to have my sister.

And where are the children gonna grow up?
Connor: We're just started to talk about that and they will grow up in Germany and in America. First we'll spend some time in Florida, we want to buy a house from there.

What has changed since you heard that the new generation is on the way?
Terenzi: We simple had to hurry up with a lot of things. For us it was clear that we'll marry, now we'll do it really soon. Was there more? Our text messages. Sarah writes "We love you" now and I write "I love you [the german word "euch" means you of 2 people]".
Connor: And Marc reads books with titels like "How do I become a good father?". And comments my behavior with sentences like: "You're doing that now? There's nothing about that in my book!"

Do you still remember your first date?
Both: Of course!
Connor: We were eating at a restaurant in Berlin. We took the wine bottle with us and put lovely notes for each other in it. We'll only read the notes after our weddings.

How big are your phone bills?
Connor: Gigantic. We pay about 3000$ together.

Sounds like you live in total harmonie. Is there also something that you don't like about each other?
Connor: He constantly searches for things and never knows where he left them.
Terenzi: And in the mornings, you don't like me that much...
Connor: Marc is always on a good mood and talks all the time. Also at 6 o'clock in the morning when I'm still sleepy.

Are you jealous of each other?
Terenzi: Luckily not.
Connor: Not anymore. I've never made a big scene of it, but rather said that "Now you've looked at her bottom for long enough..."
Terenzi: I didn't look at one stranger's bottom!

You can admit it now...
Terenzi: Thank you, very generous. But we unconditionally trust each other.
Connor: Yeah, that's true. There are no other people that I would say that about. I would never have thought that I could feel this way.

There was this rumour going round a few days ago that you couldn't be the father of the baby, because at the time it should've happened you were in Asia...
Terenzi: Hey, Sarah baby, is there something you haven't told me about? Just kidding: Because of SARS we had to stop our Asia tour and we were in Florida for a week - and Sarah visited me there. That's where and when it happened...

The singer says suddenly: "I cannot say how my career will continue yet. That completely depends on how much does the baby require."

For next year she'd like to concentrate on the baby: "For 2004 I can say nothing at all about my career."

Sentences that leave the fans wondering. They're idol will rather concentrate on a peaceful family life instead of sold out concerts and smash hits. Sarah Connor notes: "I don't have to prove myself any more."

What matters now is her child and her husband-to-be Marc Terenzi (25), the boss and guitarist of the boyband Natural. Mama Connor: "I definitely want to marry Marc before the birth of the baby."

Bild asked from the singer: Do you want to give up your career for the baby?

Sarah Connor: "I surely won't ever stop making music. That simply is my life. However, I won't be standing on the stage next year straight after the six weeks off after the birth. The child is in first place in my life."

She is 23 years old. Does the child fit in your career now?

"It's completely right for me to get a child now. There's never a perfect time. But I've already recorded new songs and also plan a love duet with Marc. My album probably comes out in the fall." Right before the birth of the baby...

Congratulations for the pregnancy! Have you already decided who will sing the baby asleep?
That's something we both will do. Marc already writes his own child songs...

When did you notice that you were pregnant?
Three weeks ago. My mother brought me a pregnancy test. It was a wonderful, sunny day, I had had breakfast in the garden with my mum and my sisters. Then I made the test...

And what did you think when you saw that it was positive?
I only thought: Wow! There was a lot of happiness and also respect for the new task in that feeling. But the happiness soon wiped away the other feelings.

Who did you tell first?
My mum. I delightfully ran to her in the garden. She was completely overhelmed.

And Marc?
Oh yeah, that was a drama! He was in Asia with his band "Natural", his cell phone doesn't work there. I left countless messages to him. As he finally called back, I could hardly speak because of my emotions. I said to him in tears: You'll be a father! We'll get a baby. And he asked quite suprised, why do I cry then as it's so wonderful news. He was really happy.

Was it immediately clear that you would keep the baby?
I didn't think about making an abort for one second. It's all perfect for a baby. Marc and I love each other and we're doing financially very well.

Will you marry?
Yeah, but still no concrete date. I want our child to get the surname of Marc. It would be nice if the wedding would be before the birth.

Have you already thought about the first name?
We don't yet know whether it's a boy or a girl! Marc suggests me a lot of new names every day - but I will only think about it when we'll know if it's a boy or a girl.

Have you already been in the ultrasonic testing?
Yeah, on the past week. That was such a moving moment when we saw the beating baby heart for the first time. There wasn't much more you could regocnize yet.

Will Marc be there for the birth?
He and my mother, maybe ever my sister. Marc used to be rescue assintant and thinks that he's seen enough relieving to master it alone. However, I would like a doctor to help me to relieve the tension.

To this day, you haven't seen each other too often in your relationship. Will that change?
We'll move together, but don't have any concrete plans on where and when.

How will you bring up your kid?
S/he will grow up to speak two languages. Marc will speak english with him/her and I'll speak mostly German. We both were brought up very liberally, had clear rules at home, but were never slagged off or treated too strickt. I don't see a reason to do anything differently than my mum did with me.

For three weeks she kept the news secret, now she just can't keep her luck to herself: "Wow, I'll get a baby!"

Sarah Connor (23, "From Sarah With Love") is pregnant! Her green eyes sparkle even a little more than usual as she reveals the happy news for Bild in a cosy café in her home town Delmenhorst.

In the beginning of July, Sarah found out that she'll get a baby. It can't be seen yet. Her belly is as flat as always. "No wonder", she says. "I'll only come to the third month on sunday! There's nothing to see yet."

The father of the child is Marc Terenzi, Sarah's boyfriend for a year and the boss of the boyband "Natural" ("Put Your Arms Around Me"). They both got to know each other in a concert in Europapark Rust - and Sarah was sure right from the beginning: "He's the One!"

The singer has even got his initials "MT" tattooed on her left wrist. "We're both looking forward to the baby and are very, very happy", the pop queen tells.

Yesterday Marc celebrated his 25th birthday in America without Sarah. But already today she flies to Florida to be with him - and Sarah already gave him the most beautiful birthday present three weeks ago. She confessed to him: "Marc, we're getting a baby!" The dad-to-be is also overjoyed.

Sarah and Marc actually wanted to keep their baby luck to themselves for a while, but her friends already realised some changes in Sarah: she shined, her unusual tiredness - and that she doesn't smoke any more. Sarah: "Now's the moment when I want to publicly announce these wonderful news and inform my fans. At the moment I'm so happy that I want to share my luck with everyone."

She may be relatively unknown in this country, but you're about to hear a lot more of Sarah Connor. Because Germany's top female solo artist is set to embark on a full frontal assault on the shores of Blighty. 'I've enjoyed a lot of success across Europe but Britain is the one market I really want to crack,' says the German-born 22-year-old. And, given her predilection for British boys, crack we surely will. 'I'm really looking forward to the English gigs because I love English guys. You're the only men in Europe who look like you actually take care of your hair.
Can you arrange for some English guys with good hair to turn up at my hotel?' Not exactly a diva demand of J-Lo proportions but we're sure it can be arranged.
So, given that she speaks perfect English, which tongue does she prefer to use in the bedroom? 'It depends on my mood,' she laughs. 'But when my boyfriend and I are on the job I'm probably talking in German.'
As well as talking a good game, her pop credentials look impeccable. As a schoolgirl she even survived a close encounter with Michael Jackson. 'I got picked from my school to perform alongside him at one of his huge concerts in Germany.'
So nothing strange to report about the 'prince of pop'? 'No, he was a very kind man. He even took a Kleenex from his pocket and cleaned my cheeks.'
Evidently nothing fazes Ms Connor. But British fans should perhaps be a tad more selective than their German counterparts with their tokens of affection. 'I get sent a lot of fan mail but some of it can get pretty weird. I recently opened a letter to find a used condom attached to it. What did he expect me to do, sign it?'

The invitation came at short notice, but exactly at the right time. Sarah Connor spent three days promoting her current single He's Unbelievable in Spain - and Yam! was there too. A good oppurtunity for the reporters to enjoy of the sunshine in Madrid, Spain.

And even a better change to spent 72 hours on Sarah's heels and ask a few questions: What makes her happy? What makes her excited? What hobbys does she have? We already got the first answears on the airport of Madrid:

Sarah likes sports! The hotel in the capital of Spain has to be swapped to another - it didn't have a gym. "If I have some spare time I won't just stare at the telly, I'll rather work out", says the 22 year old.

"I need that to set my mind free." Some relaxation is also needed as Sarah's promo shedule in Spain is really tight. Every day several tv performances, radio shows and endless interviews with the same questions.

They move from place to place in a van. On board are also Sabine, Dennis, Pravit and another Sabine - Sarah's dancers that she calls "my family". With one of the dancers, the expression is not so wrong as Pravit is Sarah's brother-in-law. He's been married with her sister Anna-Maria (21) for over a year.

"We also have to thank them for the entertainment here", the singer from Delmenhorst notes. Christina Aguilera's "Stripped" is playing on the CD player.

"I've had the album for a long time already but it was just laying around. My sisters told me 'You just have to listen to it' I love it - especially the track 'Impossible'."

Before the recording of a soap-gala Sarah calls her boyfriend Natural-singer Marc (24). She just keeps repeating "Yam!" to him - followed by a lot of laughter.

"At the moment the Natural guys are playing a crazy came", explains Sarah who's been Marc's girlfriend for 11 months. "They try to answear to all possible questions by using the same words 10 times. But I'm not too pleased about that..."

After three days we fly back to Germany. The family trip is over - and all the questions have been answeared: Sarah has no diva behaviour, loves her boyfriend and likes sports. Nothing new though. But it was warm...

We had a photoshoot with her in the beginning of her career, in July 2001, but as she made it to the 28th place in the 100 Sexiest Women In The World 2002, we just had to do another photoshoot. FHM: Your single's called One Nite Stand (Of Wolves And Sheep). Whose experiences is the song based on? Yours or Wyclef's?
Sarah: Mine. Of course the song can refer to a classical one-night-stand situation, but this is about learning something from it. There are many wolves that are dressed like sheep, who seem nice at first sight. For example, when I get to know someone, woman or man, and think that I can trust him/her, then afterwards it turns out that I was wrong.
FHM: Let's talk about the classical one-night-stands.
Sarah: One-night-stand is an experience that on the next morning the other says that: "Okay, it was cool", or: "It should never have happened."
FHM: Is Wyclef a wolf dressed like a sheep?
Sarah: To me, he was always very open. He has a great sense of humour.
FHM: And otherwise?
Sarah: He's very charming and also someone, who irritates me a bit.
FHM: What do you mean, irritates you?
Sarah: Don't know...
FHM: What did he say then?
Sarah: He made a lot of compliments and was very supportive, but he didn't say it straight enough. But that's just his style and I had to accept that.
FHM: He didn't try to go futher with you?
Sarah: We flirted with each other and understood each other very well. We have a very intensive relationship. Musical of course. He practically knows me inside out.
FHM: Knows you inside out?
Sarah: I forgot that I was speaking with FHM. I, of course, meant it in a mental way.
FHM: So it wasn't more than that?
Sarah: We call each other regularly, but still don't know when we'll meet again.
FHM: What exactly do you have in your cell phone?
Sarah: It's the new I-Mode. But I still can't use all the functions on it as I don't have a contract, I actually bought it just for the ringtones. I do have 2 other phones too, but I just love the ringtones.
FHM: What do guys send you to impress you?
Sarah: Oh, they send me some really cute things. Some write that their letter is not a typical fan letter, that they really want to know me. Sometimes I phone to them and invite them to a concert. One wanted to give me a rabbit, but I said him: "I'm sorry, but I'm on tour right now so I really wouldn't have time for it"
FHM: What's the weirdest thing that has been sent to you?
Sarah: A used condom. That wasn't so nice.
FHM: How did your friends react to your earlier FHM photos?
Sarah: Oh, the guys that I know came to me and said: "Wow, great pictures!" Do I like the pictures myself is another question, though.
FHM: Why are you so critical with yourself?
Sarah: I don't think I look good in photos.

Out of the clear blue sky ... well, Germany, anyway, comes an artist who's not afraid to express her sexuality.

Nothing new, of course, but Sarah Connor appears to have lots to express.

The first impression the North American press has been given of this young Fraulein - who hadn't seen The Terminator before she chose her stage name - is a sexy Maxim Germany photo spread that makes Rolling Stone's infamous Britney Spears article look like Convent Quarterly. Boy, we wish we could show you the pictures. They're pretty steamy, let me tell ya.

Connor's music is very much along the same lines. Selections from her debut album, Green Eyed Soul, include slick, urban soul tunes like Let Us Come 2Gether and Let's Get Back to Bed - Boy! The single French Kissing - whose Suzanne Vega-derivative do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do verse gives way to a snappy soul chorus of the sort favoured by artists like Alicia Keys - urges listeners, in perfect English, to "do it" in various places: On the beach, down on the street, in the car, "wherever you are." The album is basically a musical diary of one passionate love affair. She's already a massive star at home, to the point that the German press made a scandal of the fact she wore a see-through dress on an awards show.

"It was a long dress, not very exciting at all," Connor recalls. "I have more sexy dresses than that. It was in the newspapers every day. It was so stupid. I thought, does Germany have nothing to worry about except whether I'm wearing underwear?"

"Um ..." I reply.

Europeans are always so frightfully ahead of the game on these matters. We weren't even supposed to know about Sarah Connor until the album release on June 18. We in the colonies relish the chance to get a jump on the hottest new artist coming over the pond - and thanks to Power 92, we did. In airing French Kissing weeks before it was supposed to come out, the local radio station sabotaged the carefully laid plans of the record company in breaking this delightful new diva in North America. These things happen. As a result of the premature attention, Connor included Edmonton on a "pre-promotional" visit this week - that's a smaller promo tour to set the stage for the real promo tour later on. Needless to say, The Edmonton Sun was interested. Very interested.

"You're not going to make this into a story about sex, are you?" chided the record company person.

Well ... yeah, sort of. Besides, who's making who into what here?

SOUL, SEX AND SENSUALITY

"Soul, sex and sensuality - that's what I call my music," says Connor, over a croissant and juice at the Hotel Macdonald. "I'm 21 and I'm very aware of my sexuality. I like to play with that on stage and provoke people. It's just how I am ... I think soul music and sex is very close together. Sex for me is not only the man and woman things. It can be a lot, anything that turns me on, a good song, for example. A song has to be sexy for me to like it."

Being German proved to be Connor's biggest hurdle when it came to singing R&B. Exposed early to music by Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin, she was six years old when she joined a black gospel choir in her home town near Bremen (the German town famous for the Brothers Grimm fairy tale). Later, after two years studying opera, she started hunting for record deals and found that would-be Svengalis were more interested in creating a dancing "marionette" than music. She fended off offers until she found a record company that believed a white girl from Germany could become the next Janet Jackson. Says she: "There were so many, what do you call them, the haters? People who do not believe that I could break R&B in Germany, or from Germany. I always said it's not a question of where you come from or the colour of your skin. It's my soul that tells me to do that. I grew up with this. Now, it's so funny, the record companies and clubs that turned me down say, 'Oh, if we knew, we would have done this or done that.' Now they can't pay me enough."

One advantage to entering new territory is that no one knows who you are, she says. Connor needs bodyguards in Germany, though her kick-boxing skills might come in handy. At the risk of getting booted upside the head, I try out a little high school German as we end our pleasant little chat: "Du bist ein sehr schones Fraulein," which translates roughly to, "Man, you are one hot chick!"

"That's so cute," she laughs. "Say it again."

Maxim: After winning the German music award "Echo", you're going to tour in Germany. Will you wear the transparent dress - which stole the headlines back in January when you wore it on "Wetten dass..?" - on your tour?
Sarah: There was only one copy of that dress and it was sold in an auction. And I won't wear it again, that's for sure. Wearing that dress on "Wetten dass..?", was a mistake, and I really didn't expect that kind of reaction at all. After that, everyone talked only about my skin colored knickers and, for example, not about the fact, that I sang live. In the future, I have to pay more attention in what I say and what I do. I mean, you won't see very daring outfits on my tour. That is part of my personality. That simply belongs to Sarah Connor.

Maxim: The hot outfit, which you wear in the Maxim pictures, is a blue Flokati-Bikini. Do you rather wear a bikini or a one-piece swimsuit on the beach?
Sarah: I really liked the bikini, but for wearing it on a beach, it's too tight, because this flexible material easily slips off. In addition I have a very female body and some chest, that's why I don't wear very short or small bikinis, instead I wear the normal cut model. They suit me the best.

Maxim: Are you satisfied with your body?
Sarah: I'm very critical of every part of me. But after all, I'm quite satisfied. That's the way I was made. And I would never go to a plastic surgery. I especially like the tattoo on my neck, it's an asian character of peace. It was made when I was 16. My neck was the only place where I could consider taking a tattoo, though that's one of the most sensitive places. And it really hurt a lot.

Maxim: In your hit single, "From Sarah With Love", you write a love letter to your ex-boyfriend. Who still writes letters today at all, in the SMS age?
Sarah: When I'm in love and have a relationship - I'm not having one at the moment - I do write love letters. I also like to hide small notepapers with nice messages on my partner's things, which he will find later - for example in his calendar. Or then in the morning, if I have to leave very early, I write something lovely on the mirror with a lipstick.

Maxim: Your debut CD "Green Eyed Soul" is mostly about love and sex. Are you a good lover?
Sarah: What do you mean with that? Am I good in bed?

Maxim: Mmmh, well you can say it in that way too...
Sarah: I think, that it's also about the partner. I wouldn't say that I'm a good lover for everyone. The man that I'm with has to make me laugh and be as passionate as me. Then I'm very creative, spontaneous and like having sex in unusual places.

Maxim: What places for example
Sarah: (laughs) I guess I'll keep it to myself.

Maxim: Shame. You met the singer and songwriter Wyclef Jean - who has already worked with big stars like Whitney Houston - in Colonge a while ago. Will he maybe be on your next album?
Sarah: He offered me a collaboration and I liked the idea very much. We have been phoning to each other almost every day and we're really good friends. Otherwise I have a really good production team ad I'd like to keep working with them.

Maxim: You can be seen live on tour starting from 8th April - when did you go to your first concert?
Sarah: It was a concert of Michael Jackson in 1998 in Hamburg. As a teenager I was a big Michael Jackson fan. The walls in my room were full of Michael Jackson posters. Michael Jackson was the only man in my life until I was 13, the man that I would marry. In the end of his "The Way You Make Me Feel"-video in 1987 he kissed a woman. That broke my world and I just wanted to cry...

Maxim: How is it with your fans? Do you sometimes find a naked male fan lying on your hotelbed?
Sarah: Haven't found one yet. But the house of my parents became a meeting place for my fans. The German soul diva Sarah Connor, 21, who visited Finland yesterday, knows what she sings about. Not love or relationships, but sex.
You don't have to be an Einstein to agree with Connor. Let's take a look at the song titles on her debut album: Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy!, French Kissing, Let Us Come 2gether or for example Make U High.
- I'm very aware of my sexuality. It's a lot of fun to perform these songs on stage from the female point of view, she tells.
The response has also been good. Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! has been a small hit in many countries.
However, first Sarah had to be able to prove to the German record companys and other associates that a German woman can sing soul & r&b. Usually these music styles are thought as an area that only black and angloamerican singers can pull off.
- Music is never a question of where do you come from or your skin colour. Or age or anything else. The only thing that matters is to put your soul into it, Connor believes.
- For me music is always the most important. Image and all the other stuff only comes second. Nowadays my music is a mixture of everything I've got influence from. I grew up listening to Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, but there's also some of today's popsound in my music.

Sarah visited Finland yesterday and promoted her new album on Joonas Hytönen's tv show. Then she popped in Sweden for the weekend and yesterday it was Finland's turn again.
- This is how my life is now, she sighed yesterday in a hotel suite in Helsinki.
- I have to be apart from my family, but it's the price I must pay, so that I can do the job that I want to do. And I'm not gonna be a singer for the rest of my life, even though I like music. I want to do something where I have to use my brain a bit more at some point.
It's being hoped that the Finns will now believe, after the Germans, that a white middle European woman can sing sexy soul pop. Like for a trade, Sarah is already familiar with Finnish music that's had success in Germany.
- Of course I know HIM, she declares.
- I've ever interviewed Ville Valo when I worked on a music channel Viva. He's really cool, but also a bit strange, even intimidating. And to be honest, HIM is not exactly my cup of tea. My sister is however a big HIM fan.

Have you done all that singing in the bars kind of business?
Yes, I’ve done all that. The smallest gig was in a little bar with about 20 or 30 people, and just me singing with an electric keyboard. The people in the bar were hooligans and they didn’t want to hear it that night but I was like, "I want to sing, I’ve been paid to sing here". Then they turned the electricity off so I couldn’t play. That was very embarrassing; I was really angry and I was shouting!!

How did you get into music?
I grew up with soul music, so it was a matter of course that I’d do something in that area. My grandfather was born in New Orleans and he was very musical, so we had a lot of blues and soul influences when I was growing up. I sang in gospel choirs and I started doing musicals and theatre stuff at school when I was 14.

When did you decide to sing professionally?
When I was 15 or 16 I started to send tapes off to record companies and started dealing with them. I had offers from different record companies but I couldn’t choose - none of them was right for me. It took at least three years.

The single, "Let’s Get Back To Bed, Boy" sounds rude?
Yeah, sure. It’s sexy. I hate it when people talk around things, I like to come to the point. It’s a package with a clear message but a playground melody so it’s not too rude. It’s only one of my many faces, there’s a whole pool of songs, which are all different.

How did you hook up with TQ?
I sent him a package with a CD and some pictures. We wanted to put a rap part in the song and he was the first artist I thought of. When I sing "Let’s get back to bed - boy", he’s the boy. I didn’t believe he’d do it but a week later he called me, I was really surprised and I thought someone was fooling me! He recorded his part in the US so the first time we met was at the video shoot. It was fun. He was very nice.

Was there romance between you?
Well, we got along well with each other - that’s all I can say. We’re both Gemini so it’s a good fit.

Have you got a boyfriend right now?
I haven’t got one yet but I’d love to have one. I can’ imagine having a boyfriend in this business but I don’t want to talk about music and show business the whole day!

She's the current #1 in Germany with "From Sarah With Love" and her first single "Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy! was a massive success as well. Her debut album "Green Eyed Soul" has just hit the stores and will definitely chart high. We're, of course, talking about Sarah Connor. Before her performance at "The Dome 20" in Kiel, she answeared a few questions for Just 4 Fun.

Just 4 Fun: Your album has just been released. How did you come up with the name "Green Eyed Soul"?
Sarah: That's a long story. I tried to find a record company that would let me make black music as a white artist for such a long time. And as soul music from white people was cynically named as "Blue Eyed Soul" by the black people as that wasn't really accepted, I named my album based on this wordgame.
Just 4 Fun: How would you describe the album?
Sarah: "Green Eyed Soul" is soul, sex and sensuality. It's very diverse. There's something for everyone: ballads, uptempo songs... But soul is the main thema.
Just 4 Fun: Do you have a favourite song in it?
Sarah: As all the songs are mine, it's very difficult to say which one I like the most.
Just 4 Fun: Do you write your songs yourself?
Sarah: There's a piece of me in every song. I've co-written a lot and interpreted every song in my own way.
Just 4 Fun: You were known as Sarah Gray for a long time. Why did you change the name?
Sarah: Gray is my American name, Connor is my artist name. I chose Connor to protect my family.
Just 4 Fun: Your music has also change a bit since that. How did that happen?
Sarah: It's now more soul. Of course I've also developed and experimented to find my own style. Maybe there will be a completely another sound next year. I can't plan it forward.
Just 4 Fun: What does your family think now that you're so successful and are hardly ever at home?
Sarah: My family is proud of me. They are happy for me and support me. However, when I'm at home, I'm of course just a normal "Sarah" and have to wash the dishes and clean up just like everyone else. Or I have to wake up at 7.00 in the morning so we can all have breakfast together before my sisters & brother have to go to school.
Just 4 Fun: The funeral of Melanie Thornton, who passed away in a plane crash in Switzerland was not too long ago. You're also on the road constantly by plane or tour bus. When something like that happens, does it make you consider about travelling?
Sarah: As I heard about Melanie's death, I first thought that I won't fly anymore. But it belongs to my job and flying becomes safer and safer all the time. Of course, the whole thing touched me a lot as I knew Melanie very well. I cancelled two days from my schedule to process it. After all, people want to see the "happy Sarah" and not the sad one.
Just 4 Fun: Your first single was a duet with TQ. Are you gonna work with him in the future?
Sarah: There's still one song on my album that we sing together and one that TQ wrote for me. Nothing else has been planned, but we're still in contact.
Just 4 Fun: What do you think about TV Casting Shows like "Making the Band" or "Popstar"? If you hadn't managed to become famous in another way, would you have considered to take part to those programs?
Sarah: It, in fact, took me four years to get a good recoding contract, but during that time, I never thought of going to a casting like that. I've always wanted to be independent and because of that I've rather wanted to be a solo artist.
Just 4 Fun: There's always a performance for every artist where something really embarassing has happened. What's your story?
Sarah: Once during a performance, a heel from boots broke up and I flew up half of the stage. The fans in the first rows laughed of course, so I also couldn't keep myself from laughing anymore. Luckily, I had a similar pair of shoes in my car that I changed on quickly before the show was continued.
Just 4 Fun: Have you had any impact on the design of your website?
Sarah: I don't really have a clue about the technical things, even though I'm interested in them. I do check which photos of me are put up on the site and occasionally tell the fans the latest news in the forum. Most of them don't even believe it's really me.
Just 4 Fun: Who's responsible for your style on stage?
Sarah: I do that myself. I do have a stylist that advices me, but in the end, I decide what I wear or not.
Just 4 Fun: Have you already read things about yourself in the internet that weren't true or things you've got angry about.
Sarah: No, not really. I mostly don't read those kind of things. Besides, I can't have an influence on which rumours people believe. I have heard that there's nude pictures and other fake pictures of me in the internet. That's something I would have liked to see.
Just 4 Fun: Can people see you live soon?
Sarah: There's gonna be something in next April. That's something I'm very excited about.
Just 4 Fun: Will you also perform your old songs?
Sarah: No. I have so many new tracks that I want to fully concentrate on.

Third single, third hit! Sarah Connor is currently number 1 in the German charts with her ballad "From Sarah With Love". In an interview with Bravo, the soulsinger from Delmenhorst speaks about success, family and the great love!

Bravo: A bit over six months ago you were a nobody. Now you're a real star. Is it hard for you to still live "normally" now?
Sarah: Unfortunately, yes. Even though I always try that on my free time. But when I go out in Delmenhorst with my best friend, we try to forget about it, because after all, I would be recognized and talked about anyway. We just can't be chatting in a café in peace.
Bravo: In moments like that, do you get angry at your fans?
Sarah: Not at all. I used to be like that too. Quite the opposite: It makes me happy when people are interested in me and like my music. I just have to accept that the only place I won't be bothered in is at home and that everyone knows my face.
Bravo: Who was your idol?
Sarah: I was and still am a massive fan of Michael Jackson. I think he's brilliant. Also his newer CDs. I was even on stage as a statist at his concert in Bremen four and a half years ago. I was chosen there from my school. When I was standing face-to-face with him, I was so nervous I thought I'd die and could only stumble "I love you".
Bravo: Your new single "From Sarah With Love" is a sung loveletter. Is that your most personal song?
Sarah: Definitely. Always when I had bad times, or good times as well, with a guy, I used to write down my feelings right from my soul. That has always helped me to process my experiences.
Bravo: Is the song about someone particular?
Sarah: Yeah. When I had completed writing the lyrics, I could finally end my relationship with him emotionally as well. It's also a bit funny: now I feel like I'm going to tell something very personal to the audience when I have to sing the song on stage.
Bravo: Is the song about your relationship with Martin from the boyband Touché?
Sarah: No. The person the song is about, was a few years later actually.
Bravo: Are you single at the moment or is Sarah in love?
Sarah: (laughs) Basically I'm single. But there is someone who I often call and who I often send SMSs to. There's a big spark between us. Maybe something will happen. You're actually the first to hear about it. I won't still tell his name as long as nothing is for sure.
Bravo: Your video "French Kissing" was very erotic, very sexy. How important is sex for you?
Sarah: Very important. Even though, I think kissing is much nicer. I love kissing. And that's exactly what "French Kissing" is about. Not only about sex...
Bravo: Your first album "Green Eyed Soul" will be released on 26th November. Your singles have all done good in the charts and you have a busy interview schedule. Where and how do you celebrate christmas?
Sarah: Definitely at home with my whole family. That's about 30 people. We celebrate xmas quite traditionally; we sing christmas songs and play them on the piano. I can't imagine being anywhere else or going out on that day. I wanna be with my family!
